Seeger Weiss is proud to announce that the firm, alongside partners Chris Seeger and Dave Buchanan, has been recognized in Band 1 for Product Liability: Plaintiffs in the newly released Chambers 2024 USA Guide. Additionally, partner Benjamin Barnett has been recognized for his contributions to E-Discovery & Information Governance. For more than 30 years, Chambers has been an authoritative source of legal rankings and insights, with selection to their guides regarded as one of the most prestigious awards for practicing attorneys.

This guide marks the fourth consecutive year that Seeger Weiss has been ranked, and this year, the firm is rated in Band 1 of the Chambers USA Product Liability: Plaintiffs guide. Band 1 is the highest ranking that a nominee can achieve and is based on technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the client. Seeger Weiss’ Chambers profile notes that the firm is “highly regarded for its representation of plaintiffs in mass tort litigation related to opioids, emissions, and data security matters.” The firm is “well known for expertise in settling complex multidistrict litigation mandates in both federal and state courts.”

For his 18th consecutive year, founding partner Chris Seeger was named to the Chamber’s annual guide. This year, Chris was listed in Band 1 for Product Liability: Plaintiffs. On Chris’ Chambers page, it highlights that he is a “highly acclaimed practitioner who frequently acts on concussion class actions and automotive cases” and is “particularly esteemed for his work on opioid litigation.”

Partner Dave Buchanan was also ranked in Band 1 for Product Liability: Plaintiffs, marking the 10th consecutive year Dave has been featured in Chambers’ annual guide. Dave’s Chambers page remarks that he is a “renowned trial lawyer who has acted on high-profile cases including opioid litigation, pharmaceutical cases and consumer products.”

One of our newest partners, Ben Barnett, was ranked in Band 3 for E-Discovery & Information Governance. Ben has made the Chambers’ annual guide for 12 consecutive years. According to his Chambers profile, Ben is “regularly called on to advise on data governance strategies.” He is also said to be a key attorney for “advising on discovery issues arising in major litigation matters.”
