MCI Long-Distance Overcharges

Telecommunications company, MCI, also known as WorldCom, was one of the largest players in the early telecommunications market and second only to AT&T in its heyday.  Its long-distance telephone service charging practices came under fire in the late 90s when it was discovered that some of its subscribers had been charged far too much for use of its services.

Our Role

Seeger Weiss represented MCI subscribers who were charged non-subscriber rates as a member of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee and Chaired the Discovery Committee in several Federal actions that were coordinated for pre-trial proceedings.
