WASHINGTON – The Badge of Honor Memorial Foundation, the national advocacy group for the widows and children of law enforcement officers that are killed in the line of duty, announced that Seeger Weiss LLP founding partners Christopher A. Seeger and Stephen A. Weiss have been appointed as the Foundation’s Co-General Counsel, commencing October 1.

The two litigators will jointly assume the General Counsel title being vacated by David K. Bergman, Esq., who held the GC position for the past three years and who will continue to serve as Vice President, working closely with the Foundation’s President and Executive Committee.

As the Foundation’s chief legal officers, Christopher and Stephen will apply their considerable skills and experience to assist the families and departments of police officers killed in the line of duty. One of their first tasks is to form a pro bono network of attorneys nationwide who will serve the families of fallen police.

“We are humbled and privileged to have the opportunity to serve the Foundation and to assist the families of men and women who have heroically dedicated their careers and ultimately their lives in protecting the public wellbeing. It’s an honor for us to dedicate ourselves to this extraordinarily worthy cause,’ the attorneys said in a joint statement.
