Seeger Weiss is proud to announce that six partners — Chris Seeger, Stephen Weiss, David Buchanan, Shauna Itri, Parvin Aminolroaya, and Jennifer Scullion — have been named to the 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America list. This prestigious guide, first published in 2007, seeks to highlight 500 of the most distinguished litigators in the United States, specializing in areas such as antitrust, intellectual property, white collar crime, and complex civil litigation. According to Lawdragon, “These lawyers win hundreds of millions, billions even. They win freedom or lose it for someone. They have the abilities to change businesses and entire industries.”

Chris Seeger, co-founding partner of Seeger Weiss, has consistently appeared on several Lawdragon guides and was named a “Lawdragon Legend” in 2016.  Throughout his career, Chris has led some of the most complex, groundbreaking, and high-profile litigations that have shaped the world for the better. Within this last year, Chris achieved remarkable success, securing major settlements for injured plaintiffs in complex cases. As co-lead counsel, he negotiated a settlement exceeding $6 billion in the 3M Combat Arms Earplug Litigation. Additionally, he secured over $533.5 million in the Proton Pump Inhibitor Litigation and an uncapped $600 million agreement to resolve economic loss claims in the Philips Recalled CPAP, Bi-Level PAP, and Mechanical Ventilator Products Litigation.

Stephen Weiss, co-founding partner of Seeger Weiss, leads the firm’s qui tam/whistleblower practice, focusing on healthcare and tax fraud under federal and state False Claims Acts. He has litigated against CareCore National, Warner Chilcott, and Life Spine, Inc., and secured the first settlement under New York’s 2010 tax whistleblower amendments. In March 2023, he helped achieve a $10 million settlement with Stimwave for False Claims Act violations. His practice also includes high-profile multidistrict litigation, arbitrations, and private business disputes across various sectors such as consumer products, insurance, agriculture, environment, securities, property rights, and employment litigation.

Senior partner David Buchanan represents both individual and corporate plaintiffs in state and federal courts. He was recently appointed co-lead counsel for the Self-Funded Payer Track in the Insulin Pricing Litigation. Dave has also played key roles on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the 3M Combat Arms Earplug Litigation, the largest mass tort in U.S. history, and the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the NFL Concussion Litigation. Additionally, he co-chaired discovery and served as lead counsel in several bellwether trials in the Vioxx Litigation.

With over a decade of experience leading complex litigation, including securities and consumer matters, Shauna Itri has helped secure major settlements including a $42.6 million settlement with Renaissance RX (RenRX) and a $13 million settlement with medical device company Covidien. Shauna also played an instrumental role in the Philips CPAP litigation and resulting settlements. Most recently, Shauna was appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the AT&T Data Breach Multidistrict Litigation.

Partner Parvin Aminolroaya joined Seeger Weiss in 2008 and is a skilled litigator, helping lead some of the most significant and complex mass tort and class action cases. Notably, she served as co-lead counsel in the Elmiron (Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium) Litigation which brought compensation and justice to women for their injuries using the product. Parvin was recently appointed to co-lead counsel in the Glucagon-like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) Receptor Agonists Litigation, where patients are filing lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly. These lawsuits involve claims that popular GLP-1 receptor agonist medications, such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, caused serious medical complications without adequate warning.

With over 20 years of experience, Jennifer Scullion has led complex litigations, arbitrations, and appeals for U.S. and multinational clients across various areas, including antitrust, consumer fraud, communications, civil rights, and international bondholder disputes. Currently, she is a member of the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee, Settlement Committee, Manufacturers’ Committee, and Law & Briefing Committee in the National Prescription Opiate Litigation. This multidistrict litigation prosecutes RICO, public nuisance, and related claims on behalf of local governments. Additionally, Jen serves as co-lead counsel for the negotiation class.
