CareCore National Improper Pre-Authorizations

Seeger Weiss represented whistleblower in a healthcare fraud action against CareCore National LLC, alleged that it trained its nurse employees to improperly issue pre-authorizations for diagnostic testing even though the set criteria had not been met. The U.S. Department of Justice reached a $54 million settlement in 2017, more than $10 million of which was awarded to the whistleblower.
