Seeger Weiss Named Finalist for Seven Categories in the National Law Journal’s 2026 Elite Trial Lawyers Awards

Seeger Weiss has been named a finalist in seven categories in the National Law Journal’s 2026 Elite Trial Lawyers Awards, tied for the most of any firm in this year’s field.

Seeger Weiss has been named a finalist in seven categories in the National Law Journal’s 2026 Elite Trial Lawyers Awards, tied for the most of any firm in this year’s field.

The firm’s finalist placements include:

Being named a finalist in these seven categories reflects the hard work of the Seeger Weiss team during one of the most consequential years in the firm’s history.

In the pharmaceutical litigation practice area, partner Parvin Aminolroaya serves as co-lead counsel in the Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonists Products Liability Litigation, and founding partner Christopher Seeger was appointed co-lead counsel in In Re: Depo-Provera Products Liability Litigation in March 2025. In April 2026, Aminolroaya and Max Kelly were appointed to leadership roles in the related In re GLP-1 RAS Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy Products Liability Litigation, giving the firm co-lead positions across both GLP-1 proceedings simultaneously.

In products liability, the firm helped secure a proposed $7.25 billion Roundup settlement that received preliminary approval in March 2026, with the goal of compensating individuals diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma following exposure to the herbicide.

In mass torts, Christopher Seeger was appointed Plaintiffs’ Lead Negotiation Counsel in the Johnson & Johnson Talcum Powder Products Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation in July 2025, representing over 67,000 women who developed cancer after using J&J products and leading global settlement strategy across one of the largest active MDLs in the country.

In antitrust, Christopher Seeger and partner Jennifer Scullion serve as co-lead counsel for direct purchasers in the Apple Inc. Smartphone Antitrust Litigation, while Seeger serves as Plaintiffs’ Coordinating Counsel and Scullion serves as a member of the Direct Action Plaintiffs Executive Committee in In re Multiplan Health Insurance Providers Litigation.

In governmental representation, partner Dave Buchanan serves as co-lead counsel for the Self-Funded Payer Track in the Insulin Pricing Litigation, representing over 20 state attorneys general and 550 payer groups, while the firm’s work in the National Prescription Opiate Litigation has contributed to over $60 billion in settlements for state and local governments nationwide.

In the class action practice area, Christopher Seeger was appointed Plaintiffs’ Lead Counsel in the first-of-its-kind Class Action Settlement Administration MDL in April 2026, which seeks to hold claims administrators to enforceable standards of transparency and accountability for the first time.
