Chris Seeger Awarded Law360 MVP for Product Liability

Seeger Weiss is pleased to announce that founding partner Chris Seeger was honored with a Law360 2023 MVP award for his product liability practice. This prestigious accolade serves as a testament to Chris’ unyielding commitment to holding corporations accountable and pursuing justice for consumers harmed by defective products.

Over the course of the past year, Chris has secured landmark settlements in some of the most significant product liability cases across the country. Last month, Chris announced a more than $6 billion in the 3M Combat Arms Earplug Litigation, resolving the largest mass tort in US history and ensuring hundreds of thousands of servicemembers and veterans receive compensation for their hearing injuries. And in the National Prescription Opiate Litigation Chris helped negotiate settlements totaling over $13 billion with the big three pharmacies – CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart – which followed the $26 billion global settlement plaintiffs reached with drug distributors McKesson, Cardinal Health and AmerisourceBergen and manufacturer Johnson & Johnson.

Chris currently serves as lead plaintiffs’ counsel in the Philips Recalled CPAP, Bi-PAP, and Mechanical Ventilator Litigation, where he helped achieve an uncapped economic loss settlement worth a minimum of $479 million and continues to represent plaintiffs in personal injury and medical monitoring actions. He also holds the position of lead counsel in the Social Media Adolescent Addiction/Personal Injury Litigation and the Proton-Pump Inhibitor Litigation.

Law360 selects attorneys who “distinguished themselves from their peers by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.”

Chris’s inclusion in this year’s list from a pool of more than 900 submissions underscores his pivotal role in shaping the landscape of product liability law.
