Carlos F. Rivera is an associate attorney at Seeger Weiss LLP who focuses on pharmaceutical and medical device mass torts, as well as Child Victims Act litigation. He began his career with the firm in 2010 as an intake paralegal before becoming an associate in 2015 after completing law school. Carlos was drawn to plaintiff-side work by his desire to help individuals who have suffered harm, a commitment that was strengthened by his exposure to the firm’s litigation efforts while in law school. He remains passionate about representing those harmed by the actions and inactions of billion-dollar pharmaceutical corporations.
Carlos has been instrumental in several significant litigations, serving as a member of bellwether trial teams in the Hernia Mesh Litigation and playing a key role in the Proton-Pump Inhibitor (PPI) Litigation. His work on these matters has provided him with extensive experience in various aspects of pre-trial preparation while working alongside highly skilled trial teams. In the Child Victims Act matters, Carlos has been involved in all aspects of these sensitive cases, from discovery and depositions to court appearances, trial preparation, and strategy development. His dedication to helping clients navigate both the litigation process and their personal trauma in these matters has been particularly meaningful to him.
For his outstanding work, Carlos has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers’ “Ones to Watch” for 2024-2025 and New Jersey Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” from 2020-2025.
Carlos earned his B.A. in Political Science from Dickinson College in 2010 and his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and is based in the firm’s New Jersey office.
