RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ – Seeger Weiss LLP today announced the addition of two new attorneys to its growing national litigation team: Jeremy R. Kasha, who joins as Counsel in the New Jersey office, and Alana K. Bevan, who joins as an Associate and is attached to the firm’s Philadelphia office. These new professionals are a continuation of Seeger Weiss’ building of a deep bench of legal talent to meet the evolving needs of complex, high-stakes litigation – drawing on those who have served in Big Law, federal court clerkships, and government service.

“Jeremy and Alana reflect the type of attorneys we seek out and have been fortunate to attract – highly-skilled litigators who perform their craft at the highest levels,” said Christopher A. Seeger, founding partner. “They also exemplify the values that define our firm: purpose, rigor, and a deep commitment to justice.”

Jeremy Kasha brings decades of experience in antitrust and complex litigation, most recently serving twenty years as an Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust Bureau of the Office of the New York Attorney General. A five-time recipient of the Louis J. Lefkowitz Award for Superior Service, he was the designated lead trial counsel on major matters, including U.S. et al. v. Live Nation Entertainment & Ticketmaster and New York v. CVS, and he played significant roles in cases including the New York et al. v. T-Mobile/Sprint merger litigation, FTC et al. v. Vyera, and New York v. Actavis.

Jeremy has worked closely with the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice Antitrust Division, and state attorneys general across the country. Prior to his public service, he gained significant experience in complex litigation at Shearman & Sterling and Proskauer Rose. Jeremy served as a federal law clerk to Chief Judge Peter C. Dorsey in the District of Connecticut and was a two-time Harlan Fiske Stone scholar at Columbia Law School, where he concurrently earned his J.D. and a Certificate in International and Comparative Law from the Parker School of Foreign and Comparative Law. He is trilingual in English, French, and Spanish.

Alana Bevan joins the firm from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where she focused on employment and class action litigation in federal district court. Before that, she clerked for both Judge Anita B. Brody of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Judge Harris L Hartz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She is cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Public Affairs and a Levy Scholar. She also holds a PhD in History from Johns Hopkins University.
