Alana Bevan is an associate at Seeger Weiss, where she represents plaintiffs in complex litigation, including class actions and high-impact civil cases. Alana brings to the firm a rare combination of academic excellence, practical litigation experience, and a deep commitment to public service.
Before joining Seeger Weiss, Alana was an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Washington, D.C., where she focused on employment and class action litigation in federal court. She previously served as a federal law clerk to Judge Harris L Hartz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and Judge Anita B. Brody of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Alana earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Public Affairs and a Levy Scholar. While in law school, she pursued a Wharton Certificate in Business Management and contributed to several public interest initiatives, including work with the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons and the Federal Community Defender’s Capital Habeas Unit.
Before entering the legal field, Alana earned a Ph.D. in History from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Library Science from the University of Maryland, building a foundation in research and analysis that continues to inform her legal work today.
