Shauna B. Itri Joins Seeger Weiss LLP as Partner

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J., — Seeger Weiss LLP announced today that litigator Shauna B. Itri has joined the firm as partner.

Itri is a seasoned litigator of complex fraud cases in both state and federal courts. Her nationwide practice has focused on representing plaintiffs in class actions, including securities, consumer and government fraud, in antitrust claims, and in cases involving patient harm. Itri also has extensive experience representing whistleblowers in False Claims Act litigation, and whistleblowers with claims under the IRS and SEC whistleblower programs – returning over $3 billion to state and federal governments. This has included a $280 million settlement in United States of America ex rel Ven-A-Care of the Florida Keys, Inc. v. Boehringer Ingelheim Corp., et al., a $150 million settlement with GlaxoSmithKline PLC, and a $190 million settlement with Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Itri was previously a shareholder at Berger Montague and will be resident in Seeger Weiss’ Philadelphia office.

Itri received a dual B.A. degree and M.A. degree from Stanford University, where she was captain of the Women’s Soccer Team. She received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Villanova Law School Sports & Entertainment Law Journal.

Itri also served as Adjunct Professor at Villanova, where she taught a course on White Collar Crime and Corporate Deviance, and teaches a course on Corporate Deviance at Widener University, also as Adjunct Professor.

Itri currently serves as President and Board Member of the Junior League of Philadelphia, a women’s organization committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
