Denis M. Carey
Denis is a litigation associate in the firm’s New Jersey office. His practice focuses on product liability, drug injury, and mass tort litigation.
Prior to joining Seeger Weiss, Denis worked in complex commercial litigation involving class actions, securities fraud, labor and employment law, antitrust and consumer fraud matters. He was responsible for investigating and initiating derivative lawsuits on behalf of shareholders, as well as handling investment monitoring and analysis for his law firm’s clients.
He had a role in lawsuits involving the mortgage-backed securities (MBS) litigation, when major underwriter banks had packaged and sold these toxic securities, which violated the law and contributed to the financial crisis of 2008.
Before going to law school, Denis worked for several years as an information technology specialist at major law firms and other clients.
