A washer with a matching dryer will cost the purchaser several thousand dollars. Miele's washing machines are all of the front load type. These washing machines are touted as environmentally friendly, because they use less water and energy per load, and more gentle on clothing because there is no "agitator" as is found in top-load washing machines. Miele consistently describes its washing machines as the highest quality washers available.
