Seeger Weiss opened its Pennsylvania branch in 2007, when it invited Shub to join the law firm. Chris Seeger told the National Law Review that opening a Pennsylvania office was the “easiest decision” to make.

Pennsylvania has figured large in Seeger Weiss’s storied litigation history. Name partner and co-founder Stephen Weiss represented more than 170 first-time Pennsylvania homeowners who alleged fraud in the appraisal and mortgaging of their new houses in the Poconos Mountains of Pennsylvania. Weiss brought action against Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corp., and others, for fleecing the hopes and dreams of these new Pennsylvania homeowners.

On behalf of Pennsylvania residents, Seeger Weiss has also taken up cases against CertainTeed Corporation Shingles, Chinese drywall manufacturers, and Yaz, Yasmin and Ocella. Many of these cases took place in Pennsylvania.

The lawyers at Seeger Weiss provide legal services in all of Pennsylvania’s counties and cities, including:

Pennsylvania is one of the top two or three states with a prominent class action legal community. Pennsylvania is a major center of class action law firms because two pioneers of the class action law suit, David Berger and Harold Kohn, began their practices in the state. With a robust community of legal scholars, Pennsylvania is home to the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Drexel University Earle Mack School of Law, Temple University Beasley School of Law, Rutgers University School of Law at Camden, Villanova University School of Law, and Widener University School of Law. In addition, the headquarters of the American Law Institute is located in Pennsylvania.
