Seeger Weiss Investigates DuPont Imprelis Herbicide
August 5, 2011
Seeger Weiss is investigating reports that the Imprelis herbicide manufactured by DuPont is destroying trees. Imprelis claims to be environmentally friendly and was designed to kill and help control the re-growth of a large variety of broadleaf weeds. Instead, consumers have reported adverse effects from the herbicide, claiming that it appears to be damaging and killing many trees it comes in contact with. It is thought that the trees whose roots lie closest to the turf are at the greatest risk; however, the herbicide has affected many other types of trees as well. Imprelis has been a widely used product on all types of landscapes from golf courses to private lawns and many trees could be at risk. The Environmental Protection Agency is now investigating consumer’s claims of the damage Imprelis seems to be causing.
Seeger Weiss LLP is looking into a class action associated with the damage and/or death of trees by Imprelis Herbicide.
