Seeger Weiss Achieved a Settlement for New Jersey Small Business Owners Against Verizon For Overcharges
Seeger Weiss and its co-counsel represent a class of New Jersey small businesses that were repeatedly over-charged for their monthly telephone service between September 27, 1996 and August 15, 2003. Plaintiffs allege that Verizon wrongfully failed to credit class members with a discount to which certain small businesses were entitled based on the number of "auxiliary" telephone lines maintained by the business. In April 2004, the New Jersey Superior Court overseeing the litigation granted preliminarily approval to a settlement between the parties.
