Seeger Weiss Pursues Class Action On Behalf of Consumers Against IBM for Defective Hard Disk Drives

Seeger Weiss and its Co-Counsel represent purchasers of defective IBM hard drives. The particular model, known as the Deskstar 75GXP, was widely sold by retailers and installed by OEM computer manufacturers, such as Apple, Compaq, Gateway, and Hewlett Packard. The Firm represents putative statewide classes of 75GXP purchasers in nine state and Federal courts throughout the country. In January 2004, a California Superior Court judge certified the case as a class action on behalf of California purchasers of the defective drives.
