Seeger Weiss Liaison Counsel - UBS Auction Rate Securities Litigation Case

Seeger Weiss LLP has been appointed Liason Counsel in the UBS Auction Rate Securities litigation case # 08-cv-2967 in the United States District Court of the Southern District of New York. This litigation stemmed from the collapse of the Auction Rate Securities market when the brokers who supported the market simultaneously withdrew their support, compromising the auction rate market's investors' ability to cash out of their investments. Additionally, investors who have been contacted by UBS about a "buyback offer" should read the overview which our co-counsel group released on October 16, 2008 of how accepting the offer can affect their legal rights. On October 24th, the district judge denied our request that a Supplemental Notice be issued concerning UBS's buyback offer.
