Chinese-Manufactured Drywall News Roundup
October 9th, 2009
Media coverage of Chinese-manufactured drywall has really heated up in the past few days. It’s no surprise that the New Orleans Times-Picayune and the Miami Herald have been on this story for months, but since the New York Times’s article yesterday, which shot up into the top 10 most emailed news items for several hours, the word has spread farther than the affected states:
October 4
- New Orleans Times-Picayune: “Chinese drywall problems have spotlighted flaws in the U.S. legal system“
October 7
- New York Times: “Thousands of Homeowners Cite Drywall for Ills“
- Miami Herald: “Homeowners could lose insurance coverage over Chinese-drywall woes“
October 8
- The Atlantic Monthly: “The (Not So) Great Walls of China“
- Minneapolis Star-Tribune: “Toxic fumes in U.S. homes blamed on Chinese drywall“
