Growing AZEK Decking Problems
Many AZEK decking customers are growing frustrated. They spent tens of thousands of dollars on a deck product that was supposed to wear well and require very little maintenance over the course of its life. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case for many AZEK deck homeowners. Instead they are experiencing staining, fading, scratching, and discoloration after minimal use. And to make matters worse, they are experiencing heightened dissatisfaction from AZEK’s lack of response.
Hear how composite decking complaints are heating up.
False advertising? AZEK’s advertisements reinforce how homeowners can enjoy decking without worry because it is “stain resistant” and “scratch resistant.” But, suntan lotion, bug repellent and a number of other things can cause discoloration and other AZEK deck problems. After consumers voice their frustration, the company sometimes sends maintenance crews to clean and condition the defective decks—or forces customers to pay $60-100 for an annual conditioner. Homeowners are finding that both options do not solve the problem long-term.
