Miriam L. Schimmel

Miriam L. Schimmel is an associate with Seeger Weiss. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1992 and her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 1996. Ms. Schimmel has extensive civil litigation experience in state and federal court. Her first ten years of practice were focused in defense work in the areas of products liability, environmental toxic tort and business litigation. She served as national counsel for several product manufacturers, overseeing and directing local counsel in state and federal multi-district, mass-tort litigation. In 2008, Ms. Schimmel joined a team that represented hundreds of survivors of childhood sexual abuse by Roman Catholic clergy against various diocese and religious orders within California.  She is admitted to practice in California, as well as all United States federal districts within California.
