Denise K. Stewart
Denise K. Stewart practices in the area of pharmaceutical product liability litigation, representing clients injured by both prescription and over-the-counter drugs. Her litigation experience includes actions before state and federal courts, and complex mass tort and multi-district litigation. Raised in New Jersey, where she attended college, Denise studied law in Florida and for a time practiced in Florida, litigating personal injury and professional malpractices cases. She returned to New Jersey and joined Seeger Weiss at its inception in 1999.
Denise's litigation experience includes the following matters:
- Presently representing more than 350 plaintiffs suffering from serious gastrointestinal disease caused by a prescription acne drug Accutane in litigation in New Jersey against manufacturer Hoffmann-La Roche.
- Currently representing plaintiffs suffering from strokes, DVT's, and other thrombotic events caused by the defective birth control patch Ortho Evra in litigation in New Jersey against manufacturer Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical.
- In a nationwide settlement, successfully represented Plaintiffs injured by strokes caused by the use of over over-the-counter products containing the ingredient phenylpropanolamine (PPA).
Ms. Stewart graduated from Monmouth University. In 1982 she earned her Juris Doctor Degree from University of Miami School of Law. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, as well as the District Court of New Jersey.
