On November 9, 2007, the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee which included Christopher Seeger of Seeger Weiss LLP announced it reached a historic settlement with Merck and Co., Inc. resolving claims from plaintiffs who suffered heart attacks, ischemic strokes or sudden cardiac deaths related to the use of VIOXX.
